So art in the environment is so often about the shape and structures of the medium on which the work is placed and thus becomes a part of. Finding this trove of art in this alley leading to a Chelsea garage was the most amazing adventure. I walked away and came back multiple times over the course of a few hours to see how changed would be the affect as the sunlight moved and reflected and created new shadows.
I’ve always loved superheros and, as much, always loved witnessing and recognizing real world superheroism. I came across this installation on the walls of a construction site underneath the Brooklyn Bridge and thought it was just stunning and inspiring and and raw-real. It’s taken me a little while to post these but I hope you get as much enjoyment out of them. Dulce Pinzon, check her and keep an eye on what she’s got next.
